Parking Information

The Natural Channels Conference is happy to offer complimentary parking on campus. This can be used whether you are staying on-campus residence, at the Visitors Inn, or if you are commuting daily to the conference.

McMaster Parking Details

Parking is available in several lots throughout the duration of the conference. Using the app, you are able to book 2 weeks out, or wait until you are on-site.

Please review the details below to plan accordingly.

Please note all other lots, on campus, not listed below, operate at the prevailing McMaster Parking rates and not the discounted daily conference rate, and that all McMaster parking lots are subject to availability at time of arrival.

Unregistered vehicles will be ticketed at the owner’s expense.

Closest Parking (Limited Availability)

The Conference Hall is located in the Peter George Living and Learning Centre (PGCLL), the Ice-Breaker (Sunday event) and the Banquet (Tuesday event) are held in the Student Activity Building (MSU Hub), and the two residence buildings are the Peter George Living and Learning Centre (PGCLL) and Les Prince Residence. Lots G and H are the closest options

  • Lots G and H availability: Sunday morning until Tuesday evening only
  • Vehicles must be moved to alternate parking lots by Tuesday evening (midnight) due to lot closure starting Wednesday, June 10.

Long-Term Parking

Lots I and M are available for the full conference period.

  • Lots I and M availability: Sunday through Friday
  • Recommended for overnight and multi-day parking

Shuttle Service

A complimentary weekday shuttle service operates from Lots I and M between 6:30 AM and 11:00 PM, providing transportation close to the Peter George Living and Learning Centre (PGCLL) and convenient access to the main campus throughout the event.

Registering Your Vehicle:

  1. McMaster Parking Services has 2 alternatives to register your vehicle. Honk Mobile’s convenient mobile app or a direct link (coming soon). 
  1. Using HONK Mobile App
    To facilitate your arrival on campus we recommend downloading the app and setting up an account prior to parking on campus. HONK is available for download in the App Store, Google Play, or honkmobile.com.

    Open the Honk app and click the Zone ID tile in the top left corner of the app. Each Lot use different Zone ID, so use the following to access the discounted conference parking rates:
    • Lots G & H: Zone ID 4922
    • Lots I: Zone ID 4909
    • Lot M: Zone ID 4914
  2. Using the Direct Link

  1. Ensure Hourly Parking is selected and click Search.
  2. Click the Set Duration tile under Start Time.
  3. Set the end time so it matches the date/time you will leave campus.
  4. Click the blue Book spot for $(total) button.
  5. Confirm your license plate number, start, and end times are correct.
  6. Click on the red Add Promo link (shown in red font) under the Total.
  7. Enter NATCHAN26 and click Apply.
  8. Click Park For Free to complete registration.

Registering your vehicle with HONK does not reserve a specific parking space. Registration grants authorization to park in any available spot within the specified lot.

Other Information

Unloading Zone

A designated unloading area is available in Lot E, located on the south side of the Peter George Living and Learning Centre (PGCLL) Conference Centre.

  • Time limit: Up to 30 minutes
  • Ideal for checking in and unloading luggage or supplies

Unloading spaces are also available adjacent to Ron Joyce Stadium on the east side of PGCLL (up to 6 cars) – the same time limit applies.

Residence Check-In

Check-in takes place at the Service Desk in the PGCLL lobby, which is open 24 hours.

  • Standard check-in time: 3:00 p.m. onward
  • Early check-in has been requested and should be available for most rooms upon arrival before 3:00 p.m.

Luggage Storage

If your room is not yet ready, you may store your luggage temporarily:

  • Please bring your items to the Conference & Event Services office located in M01 (mezzanine level of PGCLL). The Service Desk team in the lobby can assist with directions to the elevators.
  • Luggage can be securely stored until you are able to check in.
  • Please note that all luggage is left at the owner’s risk. McMaster University is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
